There are lots of variations on this recipe but here is one of them


Shopping list


1 pack filo pastry

250g syrene (in the UK use Feta)

1 cup of natural yogurt

3-4 eggs

1-2 tablespoons oil

125g butter



Grease a round baking dish with the oil and butter (I always put extra oil in)

whisk up the eggs until they are mixed and add the syrene (feta) in with them

then add the cup of yogurt - I add some baking soda to the yogurt mix because that

is how my friend taught me).


Lay out the pastry sheets, put about 3-4 tablespoons of the mixture scattered around

the top pastry sheet and then roll it up - two sheets at a time - pop them around the edge

of the baking dish, carry on working your way inwards.  Once all the sheets are used

you can put any remaining mixture over the top.


Cook at around 180 for about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes until golden brown, take out of the oven

flick some water over the top and cover with a tea towel (not the one you used to wipe the dogs

feet with!) for ten minutes and hey presto!
