Game for a bath?
#1
Ok, here's one of the game pullets having her first bath, just so she gets used to it. In fact she takes everything in her stride so shes perfectly suited to showing, its the other, which is actually the much better specimen, i worry about, shes mad as a bag of spiders....

she actually had her eyes shut there but the camera beeped and woke her up!

she has smudgy feet, i couldnt scrub them...dont know if its colouring or just ingrained dirt, hoping its the latter and will come out with a scrub or we'll be laughed at at the show! Sad

I have to say I've never washed a game bird, apart from the legs a scrub maybe. The hard feather when dry doesn't seem to be a problem, any muck just wipes off usually!
I usually catch mine up, and move them inside on clean bedding 1 or 2 days before, clean the legs and make sure clean before boxing.
I have a white bird and that might be a different story.

Think I will stick to washing Shetland Ponies!
It never worries me when I get a little lost, all I do is change where I'm going
