Pony birthday cake
#1
I thought I'd share my hard work with you! It's my daughter's birthday tomorrow and I decided I'd make a cake. When the kids were small I used to make novelty cakes for them, but the last few years I haven't bothered. However, I decided I wanted to make something special, and she has a beautiful new pony on loan called Saffron, so I scoured the 'net for ideas and put together this cake.

I'm rather pleased with it, and Mia is over the moon!

Oh, and here is the lovely Saff herself (not quite as fat as her birthday cake <img src='http://poultrychat.com/oldforumIcons/style_emoticons/default/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='laugh' /> )

Wow, C, you are clever. No wonder Mia is pleased with her cake and the real Saffron is gorgeous too.

That's really good! I wouldn't be able to cut it either though, far too special! You are really talented, if I try a novelty cake the family have to play "Can yer guess what it is yet?" right through until it is eaten up!.
Today is the First Day of the rest of our lives.
