feeding layers pellets

i went to my local country wide store today to get my usual organic layers pellets and the assistant tried to get me to buy there own branded make but it said nothing about feeding it to ducks. he said it was safe for them

i didnt get it as i wanted to check up on it first ,does anyone know if it is duck safe please

I couldn't say, but when I had 3 visiting ducks last year, they kept pinching the chicken's layer pellets - much to the annoyance of my merry band! It didn't seem to harm them. <img src='http://poultrychat.com/oldforumIcons/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':unsure:' />

I would think so but there is something about the proportion of protein to carbs not being suitable for ducks.
If they can be taught to hate, they can be taught to love.
