Failedc brood, but puzzled about eggs.
#1
My goose has now abandoned her nest after sitting so devotedly for 34 days. When I opened the eggs, 6 were just eggs - I guess this means they weren't fertile.

One was full of greeny fluid with bits in. One was full of stuff like scrambled egg. Anyone offer up some info about what had happened to these two eggs?

I feel so sorry for her as she has sat through torrential rain storms, freezing gales and scorching sunshine all for nothing. But at least I can get into the pen without being offered fatal injury.

awe Im sorry to hear this Bless her heart , i currently have 2 broody geese and know what u mean about the potential hazzard , going by chicken and duck eggs i have hatched i can only say that the one filled with green gooe was going bad, probably not fertile , and the one that looked like scrambled egg was also going bad , probably was going to be a gosling and then quit early on

That's really sad, can you get day old goslings like day old chicks to give her. I know nothing about geese
It never worries me when I get a little lost, all I do is change where I'm going
