Flattened eggs?
#1
My brahma Charlotte has been laying big eggs (she is a few years old), some with a few slight wrinkles recently. However in the last few days she has produced some which are noticeably flattened - today's egg diameter was 4.5cm one way but only 4cm the other, mostly flattened on one side.

Has anyone else had this? I can only think there is some pressure on it from outside whilst the shell is hardening.

Never forget that life is a finite resource.

Experience is something you gain just after you needed it most.

Again, one of exbatts was doing the same............the wrinkly bit.    Then I had one with a very thin shell that got left inside her.   I had to remove it and swill her out with saline solution.   It sometimes happens when they are coming to the end of their laying period.    Do they have plenty of grit?

It never worries me when I get a little lost, all I do is change where I'm going
