Now you see...as my mind is usually focussed on food or drink most of the time, I immediately thought 'Ooooh one of those lovely Sweet Peanuts' I used to buy.
I never make the same mistake twice. I do it at least five or six times, just to make sure !

We have a new "loose sweet shop" in town and you can still buy those, as well as midget gems (although you most likely have to call them short stature gems or some such PC babble!) and blackjacks,, I also bought some penny bubblys althought they cost me 5p!

April, I am a bit worried as I think you are me, Simon Cowell, food and drink obsessed, yikes!

Good Food, Fine Wine and Simon.........scrumptious !

........................................................................oh anyway back to the funny looking egg or rather your local sweetie shop....the OH is always going on about a sweet called Jap Deserts (very un-pc I should think) ! I think he made them up but he swears he didn't. Be a honey and see if your shop does them will you ? Have been looking for them for about 15 years - that's what I call persistence.

Ok, here it is!! Dad says Jap deserts were square and shiny cubes coloured pink or orange and they had a sweet filling inside, he thinks it was coconut?
